About Me

My undergraduate degree was a double-major in Gender & Women's Studies and Rhetoric at UC Berkeley. In those classes I came to love "theory" (philosophy) and moved to New York City to pursue an MA in Philosophy at Columbia University. As a California native, I owe New York City for preparing me to face the winters in Toronto, where I received a PhD in Philosophy at the University of Toronto (in Oct 2022).

In my free time I read (and re-read) fantasy novels and go on "runs" (i.e. slow jogs). I'm a vegetarian, and in fact was raised vegetarian so I've never eaten meat. Much to my chagrin my family dog Jake (white-ish dog pictured on this page) is excellent at hunting, and has taken down many rabbits, quail, lizards, and once, a deer. My dog Lola (brown-ish dog pictured on this page) has similar prey-related inclinations but less opportunity as she has only ever lived in the city.
